As many of you know, discussing metric vs. imperial measurement systems on LJs can be about as exciting as it ever gets around here. Here is a ruler that just might end the controversy for good:

The best comment I read is “I already have the Festool version I purchased for $1199.”

EDIT: Even better, if you go to the Woodgears site, you can download a template and make your own ruler:

I KEEP telling y’all…... Millimeters are for firearms, NOT the woodshop…........ If y’all tell me in feet, inches, “hay-finches” (Think about that one a minute) and such like, I know what size something is. If y’all try to tell me in centipedes or whatever, I don’t have any idea…...

The humor in these videos is almost as funny as some of Matthias’s serious efforts.

Pff, just get that rule made in microns and use the included magnifier. :D This is a cute joke! And I refuse to call my 357 pistol (actually .3857 bore) a .9796780 cm “metric” pistol. :D

Why not just get a MM/CM ruler, tape measure?
... and use it if you want Metric?
