I have a restored walking stick where the handle is attached to the stick, with a seam I’d like to cover/disquise. Ideas anyone?

Put a grove in it and use some guitar binding around it. It’s made in many different styles and materials

With a little work and some paint, you can often hide things pretty good. It helps if the seam is filled and flush with rest of the surface. You may have to use some type of primer to get the paint to stick, but with careful blending you can paint wood grain and colors that fool the eye. But you may also need to put a final finish, like lacquer over the entire cane.
