For those of you with the Bosch 12in slider how do you connect it to a ridgid sop vac? I was thinking of getting the VAC005 from amazon but dont know if it would be compatible with the ridgid vac.

Thanks

You could always use a fernco to adapt the sizes. I have also used PVC pipe and fittings in conjunction with the ferncos to fine tune the fit.

The description on the Bosch web site says it fits the standard 2 1/4” vac openings. One thing about Amazon is theri easy return policy, so you won’t be out much if it doesn’t work.

Jordan123-
How old is ur Ridgid shopvac? My 10year old model needs the coupler that I bought at HD to get the VAC005 to be a tight fit. This brand new HD1400 (3rd picture) doesn’t need the coupler since the VAC005 fits snug. See pics.

Sorry about pic orientation. Don’t know how to fix.

If you can’t find the factory parts you need, try the Rockler small port dust kit. It includes several options for small DC fittings.

The Rockler small port hose kit works so-so, because the hose collapses lengthwise when under suction.

Yes. I only bought the hose for now. Nothing else. I have a small port hose kit so I can always try it out. I dont love how heavy the hose is. Its also pretty short.
