Topic tags/keywords: biesemeyer table saw fence table saw rails buried treasure

Hope this is a fair question to post on this forum. I was cleaning out my Dad’s garage (he’s 95) and found a brand new Biesemeyer fence in its original box—fence, rails, hardware, manual. I have no idea how old it is. One of the rails has a scale on it that ends at 43”; the length of this rail is 70”. I’ve attached some photos. I’d like to sell it locally (awfully heavy to ship), but am having trouble figuring out what it’s worth. Just want to get a fair price—approx what is that price? Thanks, Howard (Comments such as ”$50 and I’ll be right over” are welcome, but will be considered equivalent to “I never paid a cent to Stormy Daniels”).

If I knew where you lived, I would give you 51 dollars and be right over :)

I would not take less than 150.00 any offer lower is an insult much better fence than a new one. if I owned that fence I wouldn’t sell it for less that 300.00 dollars you will never find another new -old style biesemeyer, EDIT. hell.I wouldn’t sell it at all if it was mine.

put it on owwm old wood working machines under their BOYD selling section you will get a nice price for it. many wood workers would be fine giving you a premium price for a brand new old school biese. don’t sell it cheap.

You ought to at least give some fellow LJers a shot at it if you’re not planning on keeping it for yourself. Figure out a fair selling price, calculate the shipping costs and post it for sale in the Trade & Swap forum. I’ve seen plenty of members here searching for fence upgrades for their saws. You’ll likely find a very appreciative buyer here.

Ripper70, thanks for the suggestion. I am not planning on keeping it (I recently got a SawStop PCS with their fence system), although shipping it may be a pain. I’ll post it on the Trade & Swap forum and see if anyone local (Palos Verdes area of Southern California) is interested. Howard
