I’m looking for the plans, found in the old black and white issues of Fine Woodworking, for a sit down ride on train. The train is a replica of a 1938 ride on train. If you could help, it would be greatly appreciated. I gave my plans to someone to copy and seems I never got them back, sure you guys know how that goes. Thanks, Clarkie.

Hello Andy, I haven’t the foggiest idea, only know it was out when the magazine was in black and white.

I know someone who has pretty much every back issue but would need to narrow it down more than that. It’s not digital.

Hello Andy, tomorrow morning I’m gonna sweep the shop and book cases to see what other issues I have of black and white, and it’ll be around that same year anyway. Will post again later with approximate date if I have one, thanks, Clarkie.

Mine are digitized. A search for “train” turns up zilch.

+1 Digital version of FWW with every issue before 2013 shows zero plans for anything train?

Are you asking about back yard mini trains?
August 1956 Popular Science Magazine – How to Run a Railroad in Your Own Back Yard ?
http://www.vintageprojects.com/kids/train.pdf

Or maybe train shaped rocking horse?
http://meiselwoodhobby.com/Products/ViewProduct.aspx?ID=13095&Path=2949

Or maybe back yard play set:
https://paulsplayhouses.com/products/large-train-playset

My WWW search-chi is stumped on this request. :-(
