Hello,

I ordered a restored Millers Falls No. 2 hand drill from Wiktor a little over a year ago. I sent a message to him last week and I’ve not received a response. Does anyone have any information on him and if he is doing okay?

Thanks!

Who knows?

Not too long ago, he took his ball and went home.

He closed his website without explanation, leaving behind thousands of broken links.

The site had been a wealth of information, thanks to the contributions of hundreds in the form of historic information, catalogs, photos, how-to articles.

And turned downed many offers to take over the site or site content.

I saw an explanation somewhere, but I can’t remember what it said now. I’ll see if I can find it again.

I found what I was referring to. I’d been reading a thread on Sawmill Creek.

Read this:

and then read this:

...and for no other reason than completeness, there is this thread on woodworkforums which gets a bit heated I’m sorry to say.

Personally, I’m sorry to see the site go and would like to thank Wiktor for his site’s contribution to my own knowledge.

Thanks for the feedback. In searching I had already come across and read the above links. Last night I decided to contact my credit card company and dispute the charge. It’s been over a year though. I might just be out the money :(
