hey all

A project I’ll be working soon calls for some full extension slides. It’s a garbage bin cabinet.
The issue I’m facing is that the full depth of the piece needs to be as small as possible. The garbage bins are 12” deep. so using a 12” slide would not be enough as I need to put a 1/2 frame to hold it bringing the total to 12.5” so a 13” slide would be ideal but most places I go to only carry either 12 or 14. you guys know of good quality slides sold in 13”?

I realize it’s only an inch but in this case it’s critical

thanks

I would be looking at an under shelf style, if not a trash bin slider. What slide are you talking?

Not saying it doesn’t exist, but all of them I’ve bought have always been in even number increments. What about a 12” slide with 1.5” over travel? Can you make that work?

I think Fred is on the right track.

Knape & Vogt makes a 12 in slide with 1.5 over travel.

Here’s a list of place to check.

Sometimes a full extension slide isn’t enough, so they make over travel slides. So a 12” slide with 1.5” overtravel will pull out 13.5”. (Actually, I wasn’t sure the 12” came in overtravel sizes until I looked, all of them I’ve used were longer). This is especially useful if the drawer, for example, has an overhanging top just above it.
