Topic tags/keywords: powermatic pm90 lathe

Looking at a Powermatic 90
supposedly has a 5HP 3PH motor in it.
Device no longer has the PM plate with Serial number on it.
Does not currently have a VFD installed.

Seller is asking 700$

Even if it was in great shape, that is oo much, and 5hp is way too big for that lathe (they shipped with 1hp).

Cheers,
Brad

Yeah, I figured the motor would be replaced right away. But wasn’t sure about the price in general.

No can answer whether PM90 worth $700 or not without seeing if all components present and hearing it run.

A complete orignal PM 90 in excellent shape with lot of extras thrown in might be worth that much depending upon what you want to turn. A completely rebuilt PM 90 with lot of extras thrown in same thing. Still have to see & hear run.

If want a lathe with VFD and this one does not would pass on this lathe at that price.
