Lack of shop time due to the bone chilling cold. Looking like 50’s this weekend, so that will shake itself out.

At work, apathy from those that should be leading—it’s a constant battle. As a manager of managers, I spend a lot of time educating, training, cajoling, pushing, questioning and sometimes being the “bad guy” in order to get better results.

The passing of my brother 4 days ago. I challenge myself everyday and try to say he’s in a better place now. I just don’t believe it. He was my best friend.

My greatest challenge since December 27 is coping with the passing of Michael, my oldest son, at the age of 49. He lived in our house because he was in a wheelchair but that didn’t stop him from working at Best Buy as a digital camera specialist for nearly 15 years. He was working on his masters degree at the university of Illinois and moved in with us when he learned that masters students cannot live in student housing.
Now our house is extremely empty and so am I!
