We rented this device and it made getting the Jet Exacta if not a breeze the the next best thing.
Some tips:
A few dry runs without a load is very beneficial. Its not exactly intuitive to use, but the rythm comes easily
Uncrate the machine and get it off the pallet if there is one. Boxed machines often b ig spaces inside the would crush under the straps.
Its helpful if a spotter at the bottom of the stairs can let you know where the edge of the step it. It can be hard to see under the load.

Load limit according to the label is 1200#
Cost was 65 bucks for four hours
