Top video, thank you.

A woodworking mate of mine suggested the following….

Interrupt there spiel with the following question:

What colour underwear are you wearing and please could you describe the type of underwear you are wearing.

They hang up faster than greased lightning!!!

Last one I got a call from a “job search” I contacted. I asked if he had a bus driving job for me so he could go under it.

I always try to answer a question or any comment with a question. Doesn’t take long for them to get the idea. Mel

I answer my phone in Ukrainian. They give up when I refuse to speak English.

It’s been so long since I’ve gotta a scam, crank, telemarketing call that WASN’T a robot, I would be shocked if a human called me.

Life is way to short to push a button to talk to someone you know is a dooshbag.

therealSteveN, Since pushing “2” to be removed from the calling list doesn’t work and the gobbermint’s do not call registry is a scam, I push “1” for the live person when I feel frisky ;-)

About a month ago one of the credit card scams called. When then they ask for the number I started with the digit 4 since all Visa cards start with 4. I rattled off a total of 16 digits. He told me that wasn’t a CC, it is a debit card. I told him it couldn’t be, that was my cc number ;-) The jig was up when I couldn’t repeat it ;-))

The last 2 times I lead them on until the operator started swearing and of course I started laughing. 2 to be removed from the call list doesn’t work, but wasting their time seems to help reduce the number of calls. ;-)

This is kind of elaborate, but …. If I have a few minutes ….When I get a ‘human’ dirtbag on the line, I act as if they have called an active crime scene investigation. Pretend to be talking with others investigating in the background, ( other detectives, forensics, photographers, etc.). Tell the caller to stay on the line, yell off-phone something like “Murphy, don’t move the body!”, get back on the phone and ask the scum ‘what’s your relationship to the deceased?’, also say off-phone say ‘OK, good, we have the call traced’. It can go on from there depending on how much stuttering and stammering they start doing! Like “Are you romantically involved with the deceased?”. They usually say ‘Oh, no nooo!. or something. That is when they hang up, if not, I continue to have fun with them before I zing ‘em!

Or, if don’t have time, I just lead them on a like I’m a barely conscious old man before I start railing into them! If they don’t hang up, they’ll typically start cursing while I sling it back to ‘em about what slime they are! It can get pretty creative!

I once had some debt collectors calling looking for someone that wasn’t me. They didn’t believe that I had nothing to do with whoever they were looking for. And they kept calling and calling. Finally I’d had enough. I was studying and spending my morning reading so I put on the radio and called their number. It always went to voice mail so I just put the phone down beside the radio and read my textbook. When I finished my page I hung up and hit redial. I read 350 pages that morning and left 350 messages. They never called again.
