I was mostly absent for about a year on LJ. When I came back it seemed that there were much fewer posts than previously. Is this just my imagination, or have any of you observed the same?
Hi Mike
It's gotten better since you came back Typically things seem to slow down On LJs during the summer with people off doing outdoor activities but it is out of the ordinary for things to slow down on ljs during the winter. I have found that I'm a bit diversified as to my online woodworking learning and sharing after discovering woodworking groups on Facebook, watching youtube and participating in a woodworking club I started plus more shop time. I still check into LJs but it is not my full time online one-stop
woodworking location anymore.
Mike I have seen the same thing. Personally I have had a hard time uploading pictures to the site. When I asked There was a complicated answer that I did not understand. This seemed to be corrected with my last post. Like a1Jim I have found OTHER sites that get narrowed down to the projects I am showing, like walking sticks, carving sites [something LJ's seemed not to like] and my cars and trucks [sites that were not here a few years ago] . My feeling is for LJ's to sit back and take a look at what us old timers think. Doug
I contributed much less lately, project-wise, but that's mainly because projects that are currently done are just not "finished items". It doesn't mean however that I'm not checking out the site at least once a week.
I agree with Jim that usually the winter months brings on more posts. Personally I've been remodeling the house and dealing with poor illness of family members. Maybe some of this arctic cold we had is taken a toll on some of the shops the guys work in. I do check in a lot but haven't spent the time on it lately.
Yes. This has been Posted Twice, not that it matters that much. I also responded on the "2nd posting" as noted above by "tyvekboy".
