Hey Guys,

New member here. Long time lurker and just signed up. I always had an interest in wood turning and when I recently found out my wife was pregnant with our first child I knew right away I wanted to make a custom baby rattle :)

I recently picked up the Harbor Freight 10×18 Mini Wood Lathe. I relied heavily on forums to gather information before I purchased this unit. Now keep in mind I have owned some high end CNC machines all the way down to the cheap HF items.

I recently felt compelled to create a review of this lathe. Some of the reviews online were great, but they didn’t address some of the items I needed to know before making the purchase. I just wanted to give back to those that have helped me out. If anyone is considering getting into turning, take a quick look at my video I think it will be very helpful!

...and I tried to keep it short :)

I’m recording some turning as we speak and will have those uploaded to my YouTube Channel soon!

I am self taught when it comes to wood working, so I have allot to learn. My area of expertise is machine build and repairs and overall metal working experience.

Thanks for the reply!
