Hello, I’m building a humidor cabinet with two inset doors that are about 33” tall and 17” wide. Not heavy. I want to find some nice brass mortised inset hinges. I used Euro for my kitchen, but here I want traditional. I see a lot of, say, 3” x 1.5” hinges listed. I also find a few that are 1” wide or 1 1/8” wide. Anything over 3/4” is just going to sit up off the surface of the door, right? So, is 1/5” a standard size, with the pin about 3/4” out? Hard w/o having some in my hand.

I usually use full or partial wrap inset door hinges. You really don’t need a mortised hinge but if you want something nice go to Horton Brasses.

I ordered from them in past and had forgotten about them and somehow stumbled across them yesterday afternoon. I just ordered! Also, I finally realized that the width measurement is “open”, so I was being dumb. 1.5” hinges fit 3/4” doors.
