I found a used Grizzly G1019 locally. The guy is asking $350 for it. He’s the original owner and claims its only been used to cut Styrofoam. I’m going to offer $275. I’ve been searching for reviews and it seems its an okay saw if you can get it for a good price. I’m hoping to resaw with it and my main concern is power (3/4 hp). Any experience with this machine?

Does it come with a riser kit? If not, you’re resaw capacity is only going to be around 5”.

Check to see how the wheels move and pay attention to the blade tracking

That is about what that saw was new, maybe it ended at $400 when it was discontinued. $200 would be pushing it in my book and that’s for one in pristine condition If you look at it they are what Harbor Freight sells now.

Remember in general old is good with American made machines, just the opposite is true for Asian imports.

This is a discontinued bandsaw. Grizzly shows it for $320 new on their website right now. I don’t know if they have any left in stock through clearance. The dust port is 2 1/2”, the tire is plastic (not rubber). The blade guide has steel blocks (not bearing). I’d compare the specs with the other bandsaws out there. From what I just read I’d pass.

I am pretty sure they haven’t sold the G1019 saw in over 15 years. It was their bread and butter 14” saw in the 90’s.
