Sorry I’ve not been around in a while, life in retirement is kinda busy. Anyway here is my latest project, I always fancied a rosewood Telecaster like George Harrison’s however without £15,000 spare it was make it yourself time. I can’t buy rosewood in the UK in sufficient quantities to build a guitar so I used 4 pieces of American Black Walnut with a maple veneer through the middle. To keep the weight down I created some acoustic pockets and glued 1/4” thick book matched panel on the top. The neck is a genuine Fender Strat with a”V” profile that I really like. I made the edge binding from flamed Maple and wet it and steam bent it to rough shape with my Wife’s curling tongs (with permission)

That is one awesome looking axe! And to think that your missus had tools in her toolbox that made the finishing touches possible!
