Topic tags/keywords: question arts and crafts

I want to put small items in printer’s tray to make a wall hanging. —While most of the items will be permanent, I want to use a glue that would not damage the items if I removed some of them. —What would be the best glue/adhesive to adhere them with?

I recommend trying anything on a sample piece or two. That said, I use hot melt glue in situations like this.

Thanks for you suggestion. —If I used something like a vintage Christmas ornament that had a cardboard bottom, could I remove it if I used hot melt glue?—What is your opinion of the basic white “craft glue”?

I’d recommend earthquake wax.

To expand on the topic…. Query; What if one had a printers tray? An empty one. What would some of the good folks here fill it with? Curious …

Hot type or litho blocks. The correct name for the tray is California Job Case.

Back in the 80’s and 90’s it was a big thing to get the California Job Case and put liitle minitures in them You would go in homes that had these hanging on the wall as a decoration. Usually in houses where people thought it gave the homie country vibe.

I’m reminded that my wife would like one of these for decorative purposes, as well. Her father’s father was a printer back in the day. My wife has all kinds of little gimcracks she could put in it.
