dbw, where do you live? I'm I'm in South Carolina. I've had some fleeting thoughts about selling my straight-knife A3-31 and buying one of Hammer's "Silent Power" spiral cutterhead models.
I have an A3-31 that I'm thinking about selling….
I'm in Washington, DC.
Bought it from Felder USA in December 2016, delivered probably January 2017.
220v, with the following options:
helical cutters
Both table extensions
"digital" handwheel
Rolling carriage with handbar (I.e., mobile base)
It's in like-new condition, as I've hardly used it. I have all of the documentation and paperwork for it, and would be happy to send pictures if you're interested.
Hey dbw, I probably should have thought about it a bit more before my post. I'm trying to make more room in my basement shop, and based on frequency of use plus space occupied, I should really get rid of my Sawstop first. I think I'm going to hold on to my J/P for now. But if I were to sell it, I'd ask $4k.
FYI, there's an A3-31 for sale on sawmill Creek right now.
Well, I don't want to get rid of anything, but my basement shop is too crowded. It's a PCS 3HP, 36" glide fence, 220V, with the out feed table and floating dust collection arm. It's about a year old.
A little late - not sure this is still active.
I have an A3-41 with spiral cutter and other upgrades on a mobile base I am looking at selling.
Awesome machine - just too big for my space/needs.
Am in North Carolina
Thanks

one listed in Milwaukee, HAMMER A3-31 - $2495 (MILWAUKEE) search on craigslist to find. Looks like new.
Although you can also get the Jet JJP-12 machine new through Home Depot for $2,244.99 as an option
