Anyone know any info when JPW will get their jointers ready? They have been on backorder for a while and latest call to ACME, they are backed up another month at least.

Is this backorder issue a recent development? I ordered my Powermatic 60HH on 11/24/18 from Rockler, got notification of shipment on 11/27/18 and it was delivered on 12/6/18. I hope your order gets figured out soon.

That is so weird! I have a Jet and a PM 60HH, same as you, on order. Ordered around the same tim as you did. Call in early December, they said JPW was backed up till first of Jan. Call yesterday, said they are backordered until end of Jan. Ordered thru ACME but the units are being shipped straight from JPW. Calls from ACME to JPW is where they are being told of the equipment shortage.
Yes, I hope they get it figured out too but at this point it seems like there is no true answer, they just keep saying another month, each month.

Sorta wonder if you were able to order from Acme at an old “Pre import Tariff price”.... and now they are dragging their feet on filling/honoring their order as Acme has their price jacked 25% with the China Trade war… maybe they are hoping to fill it when the US-China pissing match is over.

hence “Another month…..” Wheras it may be that the unit Sawdust got was already in a US warehouse…and part of Rocklers inventory?

Dirt, that is was kinda my conspiracy theory fear since it is basically all JPW direct equipment.
I would have bought somewhere else because everyone had the sales going on but ACME showed 3 day lead time soI went with them. Now, I’m stuck with waiting if I want to keep the EOY prices.
Oh well.

Why not call ACME an ask if you order one at the new price and ask how long will it take for shipping. If they tell you a few days, then just tell them to ship the one you ordered a month ago and call it a day.
If they are not shipping because you bought at the older price and they don’t want to take a loss, that will not help them if that crap ever gets out.

They don’t have a secret stash. LOL
ACME is actually really good on pricing and working with you on order adjustments.

Ordered one before the new year at a local dist. and I have one of the two on said order if it is truly on the purchase order it comes in a week -10 days if not 4-6 months. just think Powermatic isn’t made in China so no tariff should apply Funny how the big boy that own all the companies are handing this I would think that they would want our business.

My 60HH shipped from JPW industries in Texas on 11/26. Confirmed on the shipping carton. This jointer was made in Taiwan.
