I received a 150.00 dollar gift card to this store. Thing is I live in Indianapolis, all their stores are in Arizona.
They say on their Facebook page that gift cards are in store only. Does anyone think they will honor this card on line? Do you think I’ll have to call the store and work something out?
BTY their prices are extreme for wood!

Seams easy enough…. call the store ultimately they are in control. Look’s like they have a policy in place based on your findings.

Might be better off seeing if any fellow Arizona Lumberjocks (that you trust) would be willing to either buy the card from you or make a purchase for you and send it to you.

Ebay also always an option. Never done it myself but see gift cards and store credit cards for sale frequently.

They were pretty arrogant about it. I think I will send the gift card back to the person who purchased it and tell them I can’t use it. See if they can get their money back. Nice thought but not well though out.

I live in Tucson where one of the stores is located. I’m a regular, so maybe they are nicer to me than some, but I’ve never had an issue with their lumber or service. As for prices, they have continual sales going on on various woods at 25 to 33% off.

I’d be willing to make you an offer on the gift card.

I visit Wood Workers Source Tempe store about once a month. Nice place, nice people, decent selection. Being a semi-regular, service always seems top notch, even when I ask stupid questions. :)

Main store in North Phoenix is well over an hour from me, but I still visit them occasionally. Has same stuff as Tempe store. Sometimes north store has larger selection of sale priced lumber day sale starts, but seem to have about same stock 2 weeks into sale (when piles have been cherry picked) North PHX store is location for mail order sales. They have folks who do nothing but process internet orders. They hand select lumber for each order, and what I see shipping out is always best stuff in stock (even provokes some jealously).

Arizona lumber prices compared to Indiana, are poor comparison. I have bought domestic lumber from several sawyers in southern Indiana, or Ohio (and hauled it here) for ~1/2 what it costs me retail here in AZ.
Freight costs from eastern mills adds up to $1.50 bdft these days. But Wood Workers Source exotic wood prices are competitive, maybe even a good deal during monthly sale. :)

Have never used one of their gift cards, but in store only seems harsh?
Did you speak with manager?

I don’t have any major purchases WWS planned short term, providing the card is transferable, l too would be willing to make a offer to help a fellow LJ.

Best Luck.
