Jet JWBS-16b: Worth it?

Hi everyone,

Very new here, looking to add a bandsaw to my little shop. I typically buy used, and have found a 16” Jet JWBS-16 about a 2 hour drive from me for $600.
I know Jet doesn’t make this saw anymore, so was wondering if it would be a worthwhile investment.
I definitely don’t need this big of a saw, but have found that used 14” deltas and similar are going for ~$400 around here so the gap isn’t that big, and this particular Jet looks almost new.
Any input you guys have would be greatly appreciated.

remdds home \| projects \| blog 40 posts in 3641 days #4 posted 12-21-2018 08:25 PM	Great saw. I have been amazed what it can do with the wood slicer blades for resawing. I’ve had mine for 7-8 years.

I run a Woodslicer blade on it. A new 16” Jet bandsaw is $1400 or so. If in conditions condition price is OK
