I had a 1/4” blade get pinched and jump off bandsaw wheels. There were no real kinks just some slight bends that to the eye I was unable to readily straighten. Do I dare use the blade again or should I consider it shot?

Use it. Worst case it breaks. I keep a repair kit around for when that happens.

Rich – what does your repair kit consist of… is it for fixing the weld joint?

I got it on Lee Valley. It’s a metal jig for holding the blade while you solder it along with a small amount of silver solder. Really easy to do and only requires a propane torch. I’ve only used it twice, but neither of the repairs has failed.
