Topic tags/keywords: blade 5150 circular saw rip guide attachment skilsaw skil saw jig diy homemade setup power tool how help smaller crosscut miter cut sled

I have the SkilSaw 5150 10Amp Circular saw.. I just acquired the rip guide attachment… at first I thought it’s function was something else but I realized what’s it’s purpose was… and noticed my SkilSaw had slots/screw hole for such a guide. I even went online and someone had the same question I did (5150/guide?) and the response they got was ‘Yes’ ...but the slots on mine are smaller? I don’t get it? They are for the guide, no doubt in my mind, but proportionally smaller. Any thoughts? Please help lol. I’m a budget woodworker. Just kinda have to make my own jigs and whatnot sometimes. After this I got to make a CrossCut jig thing.
