So, I’m making my first Krenov plane and as I’m shaping it I come across the very misplaced knot. I did not see it beforehand. I actually really like the look of it but I’m worried it will open more, sacrifice integrity etc etc.
I could flood with CA but that wood uglify it. I could fill it with epoxy….both of the glue options necessitate a finish on the plane afterwards (just for aesthetics) but I was not planning on finishing it. I could shorten the front end (not ideal as I feel it’s a tad short already). Or I could leave it. Opinions? Thanks.!

Try putting a little shellac around the crack, filling with ca or epoxy and then sand the shellac off. Should stabilize the crack and not look too noticeably off.

I made a shelf one and it had a crack in it which I filled with a contrasting filler, looked super nice.
