Topic tags/keywords: new germany woodworker workbench inspiration

Hi everyone,

my name is Michael, age of 51, husband, father and sales manager in a large car dealership. I´m from west Germany and I became aware of your forum, because I was looking for ideas for my new workbench.

Since last year in march I started with home improvement the first time. I saw a nice selfmade bbq place at pinterest and had the wish to do the same, but on my way. It has worked and that gave me the courage to keep going on with homefurnishing.

So I started to renovate the cellar room (to my surprise, that worked too), then I began to mill my own tool inserts. after that came the idea to plan my first own workshop. One of the cellar rooms was filled only with unnecessary things and so I got permission from my wife to use this room as I want.

Said and done….that’s how my first workbench was planned. The photos of the progress are shown in “my projects”. Once again thank you for the kind words.

I am looking forward to nice talks and many inspirations from over the “big pond”.

Welcome. Your first project is very well thought out and built. You should be very proud of it, it is one fine piece of work!

Likewise, Welcome. I believe I drove by your city on the way to Frankfort a few years ago.

Welcome aboard, Michael. Your projects – particularly your workbench look exceptional. There’s a bunch of great and talented people here who are always willing to offer advice when needed. I think you’ll like it here.
