This may be a stupid question, and I apologize if it is.

I have an old jet contractor saw, a blue one not sure what year. Does anyone know of a replacement rip fence system that would no require drilling new holes? I frankly don’t trust myself not to screw up something trying to drill new holes myself.

Does anyone know if the newer style fences on Jet saws have the same hole pattern as the old ones?

I think I may have the same saw as you (JWTS-10JF – bought new in 1996)—but I still have the factory fence (30”).

I’ve heard good things about the following but I’m not sure if they bolt on using the factory mounting points and hardware.

- DELTA 36-T30 T2 (30-Inch Fence and Rail System)
-Vega U26
-MuleCab Accusquare
-Shop Fox Aluma Classic

You might also consider installing PALS kit to make it easier to align the blade to the miter slot (if you don’t already have this).

Atl,
Be brave. Surely you can drill holes in cast iron or steel if you know how to handle a table saw. The two tasks are not even in the same league. Just mark the hole location, dimple it with a center punch, and drill it with a high quality metal cutting drill bit.
Next get a tap from the local hardware store that matches your bolts and use whatever fence you want.
Piece of cake.
