I bought the Benchcrafted Planing Stop a number of months ago and after completing the move to the new house I finally have my work shop set up and I am ready to get the planing stop installed in my bench.

My question is about the placement of the stop in relation to my leg vise. I have my leg vise on the left-front leg of my bench. Many of the pictures and posts I have seen when I do a search for this, shows the stop being installed just to the left of the leg vise, towards the end of the bench. My concern is that the leg vise will interfere with and get in my way when I use the planing stop.

Just curious what the experience of some others has been in regards to location of their planing stop, and if the leg vise proves to be an annoyance when using the stop to work boards. In my mind it would be difficult to get a plane to transverse the full length of a board while working my body around the leg vise. Thoughts?

My apologies now if this topic has been covered in depth before, but I could not find any posts addressing my concern.
