Topic tags/keywords: disassembling jointer tables

Hi,

I have an old Grizzly Model G1018HW jointer. (The “HW” indicates it has hand wheels instead of a lever to change the height of the tables.) My jointer is not correctly adjusted and is producing unacceptable results. It was fine before I cranked the outfeed table WAY up and down to loosen its very difficult-to-turn hand wheels. I have done all I can to align things, but cuts are terrible.

I think it might be time to disassemble and give the jointer a full cleaning, kubrication and adjustment. However, I can find no information on how to remove the tables, clean and reassemble the jointer.

Any information would be appreciated!

Many thanks
