Hi

I “inherited” a 10” Rockwell Delta table saw, 220v and has very very little use on it.

I have a ranch in Wyoming and need to start rebuilding cabins so need a table saw. Is this saw worth putting a good miter on it and proper vacuum attachment with saw guard?

Or should I sell and get a new one?  I am on a budget so cannot afford a very nice one.

Thanks

Jock

Delta made a bunch of different saws… which one you got?

Cheers,

I’ve been using mine for over 20 years. The only thing you can gain by buying a new one is safety. By that I mean the new Saw Stop type table saws.
Be careful, know where you fingers are at all times, use push sticks, and be well aware of how kickbacks can occur to avoid them. Make a cross cut sled for it and you are in business.

Another thing you’ll want to do is check the blade for parallel, give the top a good cleaning, etc. Dust collection could come from a shop vac but a dust collector would be better. Make a cross cut sled, measure 5x cut once, you’ll be good to go.
