I paid $90 for 10 bd-feet. No idea what I’ll use it for, but I was blown away by the beauty of Koa wood when I was in Hawaii last year. So total impulsive buy and were the only two boards available.

How did I do? Seems like the best use is to resaw into 1/4” or so verneers? Maybe a jewelry box and electric guitar top?

Very good deal. I had a semi-hollow body Koa guitar once. Gorgeous wood. Great sound, but that is totally subjective as always.

With only 10 bdft, I would think veneer would be a good idea. Then again, I don’t really play an instrument these days, so I’m biased.

Good price. I bought some Koa on the Big Island and resawed it to make some small boxes with 1/4” thick sides.
