I just got a Makita 2040 planer for $65 which is an absolute steal!! It needs a roller recovered. The one roller looks a 100% and the other is bare. I was wondering am I able to just get the one recovered or do they both need to be the exact same size around or can the old one be a little smaller? Not sure if it makes a huge difference or not? Thanks again for the help!!

Chances are the other roller is not in the best condition. While I was going to the trouble of renewing one, I would do both. I did on mine.
