Was just wondering how hard the wood actually is and how hard it is to work with? The janka hardness rating says it is about as soft as poplar so I was kind of surprised about that.

Never heard or seen this wood.

Guess could be very expensive depending upn your project.

It’s an interesting wood visually. If you can’t pick out the wood in person, I’d recommend asking for pictures or being very specific about what you’re looking for. Color can range from uniform bland to wild streaks, which is mostly what everyone is after. The color is subjective and doesn’t fall under the grading rules.
