Comments on Makita track saw?

I've been eyeballing the Makita 6000 series track saw for a few years now and am finally in a position to pull the trigger. Looking at the kit that comes with a 55" track.
I have a lot of projects in my que that involve sheet goods. My 113 table saw is just too small to handle sheet goods (for my liking anyway).
Most reviews of the 6000 are positive….but a few years old. Has the quality diminished? Have other products emerged that are worth considereing? Any accessories I should consider?
TIA

Tedstor, I have been using the Makita cordless 36 volt track saw for breaking down sheet goods and it has been a very good saw. I have owned both Festool TS55 and TS75 and I have sold them both because for what I do the Makita fits me better. The Makita is lighter compared to the Festool I had owned. I went cordless because I usually break down 4×8 sheet goods in my driveway. I also purchased the mafell dust bag to catch all the saw dust and the bag works great. Another thing to note is that the Makita blades are really thin kerf thus making cuts seem effortlessly on 3/4" stock. If you cut thicker stock just go slower. I also use my Makita track saw on the Festool guide rails as well. Hope that helps.

I really like my Makita track saw. Bargain compared to the Festool…. but still too expensive for what it is IMO.

It is extremely helpful, and I find uses for it all the time when drawing layouts and cutting angles that would either take setup time on the tablesaw or be too big for my shop. You wont regret getting it!

Looked at and like the Makita but while shopping for one came across a Dewalt that included the long trac on sale!
Don't use the long track often but sure is nice when I do! By the way Dewalt works flawlessly, but now probably would get the cordless saw!

I have the Makita for breaking down sheet goods (I have a basement shop and hard to get full sheets down there). It works absolutely wonderful. The cuts are extremely smooth. I don't use too often, but it is a pleasure to use when it is needed.
