Jameel made them for new construction, or to use for retrofit, so build design is flexible. This page has quite a bit of info, FAQs, and installation guide Personally I would install it just like Jameel instructs you too, he designed it, and I know they work well installed that way. While I don’t own one of his tail vises, I’ve seen several in use, and they are fabulous. I don’t think many who have seen them work will argue with their design. Most would argue with the price to attain, if they had an argument at all. -- Think safe, be safe |

Thanks Steven, you’re right. I decided a few days ago to just do it like the instructions say, so I went ahead and ordered the end cap bolts. I figured there must be a good reason. -- It ain't custom unless you fucked it up. |
