Does anyone have experience with the install of a Benchcrafted Tail Vise?
I could use some tips before I start building the bench.
Mainly the question I had is with bolting on the end cap on. Has anyone done it another way? I was thinking of draw-boring it on.

Jameel made them for new construction, or to use for retrofit, so build design is flexible.

This page has quite a bit of info, FAQs, and installation guide

Personally I would install it just like Jameel instructs you too, he designed it, and I know they work well installed that way. While I don’t own one of his tail vises, I’ve seen several in use, and they are fabulous. I don’t think many who have seen them work will argue with their design. Most would argue with the price to attain, if they had an argument at all.

Thanks Steven, you’re right. I decided a few days ago to just do it like the instructions say, so I went ahead and ordered the end cap bolts. I figured there must be a good reason.
