Topic tags/keywords: cabinet dimensions for hitachi c12rsh miter saw

I just took delivery of this saw from Big Sky, reconditioned (A).

I am in the process of building a bench for it (I have determined the height and made the legs.) I write to get recommendations from those who have done this to determine the front-to-back depth I ought to make the table top?
In the carton, it looks like it needs 36 inches of depth, but I see many beautiful benches in people’s reviews that obviously are not that deep.

Thoughts? Recommendations?

Thanks,

George Roland

While I do not have this saw, I do have a simple suggestion… pull the saw out of the box and set it on a table or saw horses and see what kind of space you need versus what you would like.
If you are like me, you will build a stand for it, use it awhile, and then remake it because you thought of a new idea. For me, that is part of the joy. Have fun and post pics of what you decided.

Have your say...
