Woodcraft has a 10” diamond stone from there woodriver brand on sale for $40 and I was wondering if anyone has owned or used one of these?

Here is the link:

I have a feeling that I know the answer but wanted to ask just in case. I am looking for something other than sandpaper to use that cuts faster than an arkansas stone. I want to get a water stone but they all seem to be pretty pricey when you get up to a 8x size.

Thanks for any feedback

This is on a plastic base so I’m not sure how well it would stay flat.
