I am about to build my wife a pedestal dining table with a 56” diameter top. I am looking for a resource that can help me determine the size of the pedestal. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The table is going to be based on the Stickley 713.

Thanks!

I usually use 2/3 minimum for base spread to top diameter, so minimun 36 – 37” leg spread for 56” top.

At 56, you can seat 5 comfortably. But only 10” to ped is probably gonna be a toe kicker.

I would go 34”ish
