I know Big leaf can be blotchy, applying a dark stain, use a conditioner?????

I was just wondering did you ever consider using a dark wood.
So you don’t have to stain .

Aj.. Client wanted maple , then decided he wanted to go darker…
Living in the Pacific Northwest there are not many dark hardwoods t available. For the most part I use local woods unless otherwise specified ..

Darn clients, I envy you living up north of me.
The reason I asked my question is that there are people right now walking among us that think wood comes in one color. I know it sounds crazy. But it’s true.
If you search Charles Neil he has good advise in Bloch control.
That maple is going to be difficult.
