I had one of those a while back. $50 is a fair price for what it is. The problem is that it’s a typical jobsite saw with plastic body, aluminum top and universal motor. Worked fine for rough cutting, but not really a precision tool. I used that saw for less than a year before buying a cast iron topped contractor saw. I never tried a dado set with the Delta, but my recollection is that the arbor is not long enough for one and the motor isn’t really powerful enough to be able to run the dado safely.

Most areas of the country have contractor saws with a more powerful induction motor and cast iron top pop up for $125-200 on a regular basis that are much more capable than that one. You’d be far better served with one of those.

If you buy that saw, you’ll never be happy with it….Like JayT explained, there are better saws out there….!!
