I recently purchased a Jack Daniels barrel. I have noticed tiny piles of I guess sawdust on the top of the barrel and on the side piling up along the barrel hoops. I am guess bugs of some sort. Anyone know what they are and how to get rid of the. Thanks

Man if u were a bug that only got to eat wood wouldn’t u wanna eat that instead of a rotted tree?
Posting pics of the holes that they are making might help. Baking it can kill them. That’ll depend on how big your oven is tho

Powder post beetles.
Judicious use of insecticide….usually containing boric acid. Do some research on this.
