Recently purchased these two planes. Both are in need of a good cleaning but otherwise seem intact and in very good condition. Is anyone familiar with either one of them? I would post pictures but for some reason I am not able to do so. Thanks

Very easy to add photos here. If you were following the “click on ing, browse to photo, select, and click add this image” and it didn’t work, maybe your photos were too large?
A picture would show who made these planes but the KK5 will be the winner here.

As I recall, the KK line was made by Stanley and in a Bedrock pattern. Very nice plane. The Wards Master, not so much. The ones I’ve seen have plastic knob and tote, and likely aren’t produced to very exacting tolerances. Likely hard to fettle, not likely to stay tuned.

Ditto, pictures would be very worthwhile.

Have had and USED a Wards Master Quality No. 3. Basically a WW2 era Stanley No. 3…..marked the way Montgomery Wards wanted.

Tune it up like a normal Stanley No. 3.

The older Wards Masters were very good planes. We’d love to see pictures.

When I follow the procedure to post pictures, instead of the photo I get “text” http etc… very frustrating. I’m sure it is me doing something wrong, but I don’t know what GRRRRRRR>!!!!

When you add a picture, it will show as a http address in the text box. That is because the text box is showing the web address where the photo uploaded. Click the Preview button and it will show the actual picture so you can make sure it is correct before hitting Post.
