I’ve found a good deal on ipe decking. What are the pros and cons of using this lumber for an indoor kitchen countertop?

Thanks,

That would look beautiful.

Working with Ipe let me know that your tools are going to get dull and the wood tends to be splintery, but otherwise (in a non-kitchen sense) I really like the stuff for its hardness and colors.

Off hand I can’t think of any other reason it would not work great in the kitchen.

Have your say...
