Just saw that Rockler has a set of 8mm dovetail bits that seem to be the same size as the Leigh dovetail bits. I’m wondering if anyone has tried them and if they are comparable?

Info on several places you can buy replacement bits for the Leigh jig 8mm cutters.

I don’t see the Rocklers you refer to so I can’t see a price point, but just based on knowledge of either Rockler, or WoodCraft house bits they are lower quality, with thinner carbide. Thicker better quality carbide = being able to sharpen a number of times, which in the end reduces your cost to use them.

“I like this set for a Leigh jig, also includes a 1/2 collet reduced to your 8mm.

If you have an interest in these, send me a PM, it will save you a few bux.
