My wife and I built our shop/studio several years ago and I was able to install the siding to the extent that I could reach in one area. No one seems to want to mess with installing last few boards so, I thought of making a scaffolding with 2x’s and such which I can reuse after this project is done. The first scaffolding I built to put on the existing siding looked like this.

Now that I look at it, I am thinking, I shouldn’t have done that. lol

So, now I am thinking basically the same design except make it so I can step up to the top and have the roof to support the scaffolding. What I am not sure off is, will the end that is opposite to the wall shift too much as to damage support/structure? Obviously, I don’t want to screw the legs to the roof if I don’t have too.
