Topic tags/keywords: veneers built-ins custom woodworking

My husband and I just bought a mid century modern house and we are planning a reno to update the house but also to maintain the style. We’d like some dining room built-ins and bathroom vanities that have veneer faces on drawers/cabinet faces but finding someone that does this had been difficult in Ohio. We have lots of solid cabinetry/ furniture makers here with the Amish community but veneers and mid mod style is not a common thing. Is there anyone out there that can recommend someone I can work with?

One option is to look through the veneer tech Craftsman ’s Challenge entries at Veneertech.com.

My company can do it (you’ll see a few of our entries at the above website) but us being located in the Chicago area would run the cost up substantially. You might be fortunate and find one of the entrants to the veneer competition close to your area.
