Topic tags/keywords: laguna bandsaw used tools pricing

This saw has a Baldor 3 hp motor and was made in Bulgaria w a 15 3/4 capacity. Comes with 6 blades. Is $2150 a fair price?

Still sounds high.

Sounds high for a 13+ year old machine even with blades.

First, the price is WAY high, period.

If it is indeed Bulgarian it was made by Stomanna. However, I did not think any of the Stomanna saws were built with ~16” resaw height. Just not sure exactly which version this is and I didn’t think any of that vintage were actually labeled as a LT16HD, most of the pre-ACM built saws were labeled LT16 or LT16SEC and did not have Baldor motors or 16” resaw heights or ceramic guides.

Do you have any pictures? I think the highest new price on the Bulgarian 16” Laguna saws was somewhere between $1300 and $1500. The used price for any of the pre-ACM saws should be in the $1200 and under range most will be worth 700-900.

Thanks for the replies y’all, I’ve been on the fence about this saw but it seemed a bit pricey to me.

And yes, it looks like they listed it as a 16hd but it is a 16. I haven’t been able to find the original ‘new’ price… that’s pretty crazy if it really is 1500 new. Lol

I had that same saw for a few years with a Baldor motor. I remember mine called 16 SE. I also remember buying a replacement set of tires from Laguna if you this make sure you get their epoxy.
I never could get Lagunas tires done correctly so I had a saw service in South Gate called Daily saw install tires with perfect trueing and crowns.
I wasn’t very patient with my saw at the time.
I did like the saw it cut very fast with a Resaw king when they first came out. I think they were stellite teeth.
Good Luck

Good Luck Laguna dose not sell the tired anymore and the wheel diameter is irregular at 15.47”. I had a set of carter 16” tire on it but they began to slip with heavier use, ruining a resaw blade in theprocess
