Has anyone heard from Stuart at toolsfromjapan recently. I asked a question about shipping two weeks ago and haven’t heard anything back. I know there were some family issues recently but I thought I’d heard that he was back at it now.

Any other Canadians order from him? Were you able to get a different shipping method than what the website provides? The website quoted $180 shipping for the sharpening set and I just can’t do that.

Not sure what you are looking for but might look at US vendors if cannot find whet you need in Canada for better prices and cost of shipping. Know there maybe higher cost shipping to Canada but pretty sure not $180.

$180 seems excessive. When I got my sharpening set it was about $60 for shipping I believe. From what I’ve seen he should be back to filling orders. I don’t think he was ever very prompt on responses to begin with though.
