I have recently come across a Graco Finex FX3000 HVLP paint gun by Sharpe for under $75 brand new, never used. I am looking for opinions and advice on this gun. I have a large compressor and spray mostly pigmented water base lacquer, and water based poly. I have been using the $15 Harbor Freight gun and it certainly gets the job done. I would just like to have a better quality gun that puts out a better finish and last longer than the Harbor Freight gun. What do you guys think of this gun? I can get it for under $75 but if there is a better gun out there that you guys would highly recommend and it’s under $200 I might hold off on this Finex FX3000 and save a bit longer. Opinions?

This info may help. Keep in mind it is 7 years old. Graco has always made industrial quality equipment. Check that gun is approved for water based or waterborne materials.

Thanks for the link. I had already googled and searched on YouTube for anything that I could find about this gun. It seems to be a decent gun, I was just hoping to see if anyone here actually has any experience with it.

Right now I am trying to decide if I should get the Finex FX3000 which I can get for under $75 or save up for the QualSpray AM5008 or the QualSpray AM6008. The 5008 is $305 and the 6008 is roughly $250. Decisions decisions!
