It seems that I was deprived of the opportunity to learn the skill in Jr. and Hi school to make a (1) segmented bowl with 3-400 pieces, (2) a hollow form of hardwood and (3) A lidded box suitable for a cremation urn because almost everyone I talk to has done just that. BUT they aren’t doing it now! I took 5 years of woodshop, was a carpenter’s mate in the USNavy and a DIY woodworker for many years after that but I still missed those classes. What does one say to statements such as these?

No worries I missed them too. At least we all had shop though now days schools that still have shop are so rare that it’s sickening. Kids need to learn stuff other than how to pass government tests.

A federal judge in Michigan just recently ruled that you do not have the right to learn. So your suit will just be kicked out of court. The Constitution does NOT guarantee you that right. Sucks don’t it.

Heck Jack, i took the classes, and spent the last 50 years building stuff, and i still go to class with some of the members here, damm good info, and when i met you in southern az, this spring, learned a bit more at the bbq.

learning is the only real power one has in his/her life, do it daily, cause if you don’t well then you become someones, b…....h.
