Craigs List posting for a Bosch 12 Inch (model 3912), with “fairly new” 80 tooth freud diablo blade and brand new Dewalt wheeled stand (DWX726).

He wanted $325 – he is willing to let them go for $250.

I currently have a old Porter Cable 12 inch miter and it is sitting on a Ryobi stand. It would be nice to have a stand with wheels that I could just fold up and get out of the way. Even though it is used I figure the Bosch has to be a big step up from my Porter Cable.

Thoughts?

I cant find any recent reference to that saw, looks like it might have been made in the earlier 2000’s, but maybe I am wrong. The listing for that model I found on on Amazon says it is not available.

I have a newer Bosch miter saw, about 3 yrs old now, and I do love it. But no info on how that 3912 is to work with. Sounds like you maybe are drawn to the stand as much as to the saw.

You have to go see it and make your personal decision about:
“Is it better than what I now have, by enough to cover the purchase price?”

Stand is $200 new so consider the saw to be fifty bucks. Buy it and sell your outfit for whatever you can.

This is kind of what I was thinking. If I can get $100 bucks or so out of my current set up it makes the overall cost pretty inexpensive.
